RESEARCH SUBJECTS

The majority of the published articles covered the common cancers in Egypt, namely: Urinary bladder cancer (38 articles), lymphomas and leukemias (20 articles) and breast cancer (15 articles). Other miscellaneous works included basic experimental methods, biomarkers, tissue culture studies (14 papers) and cancer registry and epidemiological studies (4 papers).

1- Principle Investigator of a Research project on “Epidemiologic and Clinical Studies on Lymphomas and Leukemias in Egypt”, supported by US-AID, 1982-1994.

2– Principal investigator of “Computer Network for NCI Hospital” supported by the United Nations Developing Program (UNDP), 1992.

3– Principal Investigator of a research project on “Cytologic Detection of Carcinoma of the Bilharzial Bladder”, supported by NIH, Agreement No.03-039-N, 1976-1981.

4– Main Investigator of a research project on “Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma” sponsored by the American Cancer Society and Cancer Research Institute of the University of Michigan, 1963-1965.
